To many, any African-American man who is not smiling and wearing a business suit is an "obvious menace". <BR/><BR/>In todays campus environments, the subjective nature of such views would have 10% of the student body "warehoused" as a safety measure. Let me offer Iraq conflict protesters and the language that was frequently used by the advocates of invading Iraq when discussing those who disagreed with it. Dissenters were frequently labeled "traitors" who were "siding with the terrorists". It's an easy step from "siding with the terrorists" to "obvious menace", allowing the incareration of those who dissent from unpopular wars. <BR/><BR/>This is not about protecting the campus's of America, it's about fear of mental health disabilities.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
