Disability Law Booklist

It occurred to me that it might be useful to collect up, all in one place, links to the various books that I think of as providing particularly useful or interesting treatments of disability law or disability rights. So here's a first cut. No Pity is a great introduction to the disability rights movement -- really the classic journalistic history. Make Them Go Away and Backlash Against the ADA are good discussions of ADA backlash. The Disability Studies Reader is a great introduction to disability studies. From Good Will to Civil Rights is the essential account of the drafting and implementation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. And the others are great, too.

You really ought to include Reed Martin's "Special Education Law in America" for a fantastic history of the Parc and Mills decisions on through 504, EHA and on up. The previous edition was entitled "Extraordinary Children Who Only Wish to Lead Ordinary Lives"
