I just heard that the legendary writer and disability rights lawyer Harriet McBryde Johnson passed away last night. What a loss. In her memory, I'd suggest rereading her terrific NY Times Magazine
article from five years ago about her debate with Peter Singer. My thoughts go out to everyone she touched.
