Wichita Settles Title II Access Suit

So says this article in the Wichita Eagle. The first few grafs:

The city of Wichita this morning unanimously approved a lawsuit settlement that likely will change the way the disabled access city buildings and parks.

Among many steps will be to hire a consultant who will take inventory of city-owned buildings and property to see what needs to be improved, said Jeanne Goodvin, the city's Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator.

Items to be fixed will be prioritized and addressed over several years, she said.

Earlier this year, the Independent Living Resource Center filed a suit listing more than 650 alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act on city property.
