New Suit Over Inaccessible Bus Service in Colorado

This article begins:

An advocacy group for disabled people filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the city of Colorado Springs, alleging the city's new round-trip bus service from Colorado Springs to Denver is not accessible to people in wheelchairs.

The Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition, which has 3,200 members, said in the suit filed in U.S. District Court that most of the buses used by the Front Range Express, or FREX, are not equipped with wheelchair lifts.

"Our members are just angry as blazes," said Kevin Williams, attorney for the coalition. "This is a system that would enable a lot of our members who use wheelchairs to get to and from Denver with the same ease that everyone else using the service does."

The complaint can be found here.
